As a decorated,disabled veteran I served to protect our first amendment. Having said that I would be disgusted, discouraging and down right hostile toward these folks if they were in the vicinity during a private moment for a family while dealing with such tragedy.

Whether you agree with our countries politics or the involvements we have in many areas of the world, NO JOB is more honorable than serving your country...
Many people, like these wack jobs protesting at funerals, seem to forget the sacrifice these men and women in the armed forces make to protect our country. F'ed up that they protest troop funerals...Disrespect for their service and their lives.
Hell, send these religious wackos on a boat over to Somalia and let them have their way with them....

It is sad that some will stoop so low as to protest a soldier that gave his life so they could live under the blanket of freedom that that soldier provided. Our military is asked to do some tough jobs and that's one of them in my opinion. It is better now. Forty years ago it was much, much worse. It's been about 4 weeks ago. As I was having lunch I noticed a soldier and his date in the restaurant. I paid their ticket on the sly. Wasn't much, $25 or so. It made me feel good and as I learned about a week later, it made their day as well. Still, it was nothing at all compared to what they give to us.
