The subject came up recently on a nearby thread. Rather than hijack that thread, I wanted to start a discussion of classic threads. I think Salmonella's comments on the Hemmingway hunting thread qualifies.

I nominate the I have a dream thread! It is so full of insight and wisdom, one could learn the true nature of this board from just that one topic.

One of the first threads I read on the dark side had a guy porking a goat in it. That's when I truely admired what goes on here.

Yeah, I think there was. For most of us our dads were at the top of the list.

I have been fortunate enough to fish with some really fine folks including Nick Amato, Bill Herzog, Clacy Holt, Jim Teeny John Posey and Phil Stevens. But I would love to have a chance to fish with my dad one more time. I can't do that but I can fish with my grandkids every chance I get.

Good thread Dave. The pic you took of KK & his tarpon was the funniest pic I've ever seen here on PP. Classic $hit there.
