Damn,

I just reserved a room in Forks at my usual place. Room with two beds, two people and one dog was $81.00 a night. Not all that long ago same room was $55.00. Damn vampires!

Looking for dog friendly room in Forks. Sugestions?

I don't need palatial or a kitchen, just clean, quiet.

Oly Suites has some dog-friendly rooms. So does the Dew Drop. I'd suggest the Dew Drop. Prices are up everywhere there but at least the Dew Drop is recently renovated, has flat panel TVs, and is clean.

Go to the local bar and start asking random people about a place to crash. Buy them drinks. You'll get offers from both men and women. whistle
No joke.

I don't know if it makes a difference or not DV, but tell them you are a poor old fisherman, and the pretty voice on the other end usually says "We'll give ya the discount then!"

Which is probably a ploy to increase the room rate in actuality grin

Maybe they switch from winter rates to summer rates beginning in April?

I most always stay at the Forks Motel. Thought it was $55, but maybe it's gone up to 60-something.

The rate I was quoted was at Dew Drop, where I have stayed many times before - maybe that's why they raised the rate? With AARP rate went down to $78.00. Didn't ask about cross-dresser rates.

Will call Forks motel and book there. Thanks for all the input.

Dave, I don't know your particulars so I guessed and started with Kayak. Kayak will do a simultaneous search of all the usual suspects.
The first hit was from Expedia for $66 @ Dew Drop Inn and $76 at Pacific Inn
OK, so I see that the link is not going to work. Just go to http://www.kayak.com/ and plug in your particulars.

Hotels.com yielded the same result.

Priceline and Hotwire needed more tweaking which I didn't do.

In regards dogs and hotels...I'm sorry to say, but dishonesty is the best policy. You made the mistake of telling them you had a dog....never do that. They all allow them, but have started charging in the area of $10/night for man's best friend. If they do find out that you have a dog with you, they never go back and charge you.

In the case of Dave's Dog O'Destruction, the extra fee will be in multiples of triple digits smile

+1, as soon as they know you are not a Twilighter, the rates can drop 15-20%.

Stay at the infamous Bagbys...hell, a dog is an upgrade compared to letting KK sleep there, he has at least a $20 a night upcharge in every room in Forks.

Tye is related to Boris, but does not have his histroy of destruction. Besides if he totally destroyed Forks there would be less than $100 damage.

Bob, can he stay at your house?
