Years ago, American Lake had decent size perch, and so did Steilicoom. Most of my serious perch efforts have been in Lake Washington where we get several perch >= 12" each summer.

What areas / structure types / depths / etc. do you find are productive in Lake Washington? We're contemplating a trip this weekend for cutthroat, but a good Perch bite is always a treat.

You might need to fish about 55 feet deep (or deeper) this weekend, provided the wind doesn't blow you off the lake. There were whitecaps this morning as I drove along the lake. Saturday and Sunday may be similar.

Anyways... the perch are deep. Last time I was out I spotted a school at 55 feet. Kept looking for them shallower and found zip.

I've heard the trout are in shallow this time of year... 30 foot or less.

I had everything backwards the last 2 times out. Fished the bridge for trout and 30-40 feet for perch. No runs, no hits, no errors.... but it was time on the water.
