Carl, no gas motors I take my 12 aluminum out ALL the time, but I always have to bum a motor/battery off someone. Talking bout King County Deep Lake yo! Fun little lake, the people are always real nice. Average size... 9-11 inch I'd guess. Curtis

I was out there on Friday and they were rolling and flopping like a salmon would. Anyway had a lot of miss hooks and a few small ones brought in on the tube. Other than that I wasn't impressed. But it is one of my favorite summer spots.

Name a Friday afternoon, Saturday, or early Sunday and I am there. I have a few weekends I have stuff planned but many are open. The wife would love to catch some kokes sitting on her ass.

Floatuber, I'm thinking this weekend??? But not sure... I might be working. Gotta work to support the fishing habit berkely... take aub-enum hw to 400th 400th alllllllll the way to Veazie-Cumberland. Left on Veazie, go about 2 miles tops... You'll see state park signs for Nolte State park. I usually park off on the side of the road, its closer to the docks. Curtis

BBVD,
I have been there many times and you got me lost!
BB75, Go out by Mukilshoot HWY164, Take a left on Hwy 410 in Enuscratch. At the light after the GM/Pontiac dealership before you leave civilization take a left. Follow signs. About 5 miles.

But you see we talk about Deep Lake all the time. All he had to do was use the internet or Washington Lakes.com "Ding, Ding" for directions. I just made it easy on him.

I was out there yesterday around noon, saw another float tuber cruising in the caddis u-boat...hope you did better than I did!
Aside from the boat launch area, where are you guys fishing? Any flies you want to divulge? I have had spotty luck the last two days with size 14 PMD, I think the plants are going after the little brown mayflies on the water though...they are fun to watch though! Lots of risers...

Not sure about the bluegill...but I know that there are RB Trout, Bass, and Crappie. I was back out there this afternoon and saw a few guys out fly-fishing in pontoon boats. Lots of fish jumping again, but I caught nada (for the second day in a row). I better take the float tube out there and quit screwing around on the dock.

Trout Caddy,
How were you fishing off the dock? There is a secret to catching fish of the docks at Deep Lake. And another way when in a tube.

I was fly-fishing off the dock (kinda stupid huh)...just didn't feel like going for a ride on my float tube and had all my fly fishing gear. There were fish rising inches away from my flies, but ignoring mine. This is super annoying for all who have been through this, just about the time you are ready to sytematically go through your fly boxes you realize that what you really need is worms. So what is the secret squirrel secret for fishing off the docks at Deep?
