That's some imagination there.
Looks like jet assist on the Mustangs.
More flying wings than ever existed.
And a few Japanese light bombers thrown in.

I think the Japanese aircraft are supposed be some kind of high speed attack birds w/ nose cannons like the 44/45 Luftwaffe's Messerschmitt Me 262.

So if the war was still on by '47-'48 this scene may have played out.
I wonder if they were experimenting with retro-fitting Mustangs with jets ?
First delivery for B35 was supposed to be in '47.

By 1945 seemingly everybody wants to knock down a P-51D, few ever got the chance.
