Does any one actually target carp in Lake Washington for fun. I am wondering Cause I have seen some huge carp in the shallows while fishing for smallmouth and perch. I not sure if they are common carp or grass carp I know grass carp is closed to fishing but if they are common carp in that lake to be had I would love to catch a few on light tackle for fun. Anyone know anything that can help me out???

When I was a kid we had a boat moored at Queen City Yacht Club. I can remember huge carp milling around the docks there.

I think they are grass carp. Not positive though.

I'd be betting that these are common carp and not grass carp. It's a special program that introduces grass carp. Don't think WDFW has asked for permission to put these in Lake WA.... so the smart money goes with common carp.
