Like I said earlier, your request is a tough one! I have tons of pics of VERY bright kings, but I must tell you that very few of them show off that purplish-rainbow hue that you are looking for.
The key is getting the pic with the
LIVE fish in the water before it has been overly stressed or before application of the wood shampoo. It's a lot like pics of striped marlin or dorado that are all "lit up".... stressed or dead fish just don't cut it. That purplish hue is snuffed out almost the instant you snuff the life out of the fish. I also believe that having water to reflect off the fish accentuates the purple hue.... much harder to bring it out in a picture when the fish has been removed from the water. The other thing that helps is subued lighting... too bright a day and all you get is platinum-chrome flashing back at you which literally overwhelms the subtle purple hue.
So here's my best shot, bud.
An actual ocean fish:
A Kenai River fish:
Another Kenai fish:
Another ocean fish:
Another Cook Inlet river fish (3 pics):
I included that second ocean fish to make a point about how the purple hue fades almost instantly. In the shade of the boat that fish was purple while still in the water before it was hoisted aboard. The pic was taken literally seconds later and the purple hue could still be seen with the naked eye, but has virtually disappeared in the digi-pic due to the brightness of the day... it's just barely there if you use your imagination.
