Thinking about heading over in March sometime. Most likely around the Potholes area. How has the bite been for Bass/Trout/Walleye in March? Thanks.

Check out the Mar Don site - looks like some good fishing going on this year. I'm definately planning to get out there end of March early April.

Keep your eye posted on the WDFW weekender report. They should have something about the Quincy and Basin lakes around the 1st of March.

The ice over here came later than usual this year and to date many lakes are still iced in. It is getting slushy on many and starting to go BUT open water for the March 1 opener is iffy.
Check with Mar Don or call a friend who fishes if you got one....may save ya a wasted tripl

Hi Ya All,

I am heading to the Yakima 12-14 March with a few bud's to see if we can get into some nice fish. I hope the weather warms up some and the fish are active.

Any of you fished the Yak yet this year?

March is usually really good for both trout and walleye at Potholes. You can usually get trout either anchored up with powerbait or trolling flasher/flies near Frenchmans Wasteway. Walleyes are good with blades, jigs, or spinners near Crab Creek or up Lind Coulee.
