yeah, we could still win, if the Stanford starting D came down with a sudden case of Mono, and luck broke his throwing arm...

At what point do you start looking at replacing Holt, the offense has improved the last couple years, but the D still looks like crap. I believe that point has arrived. The man is intense, but it doesn't seem to translate in any meaningful way to the young men.

Stanford has 311 yards rushing? And nearly a half to play, I wonder what the record is? Most yards against a opponent in a single game, previous single game record was against the Beavs.

That was disgraceful.
We got f'n owned by SU in every aspect of the game.
Too bad the efforts of The Incredible Polk were wasted in that blowout. That kid is an animal.
Luck is going to make some NFL owner very happy.

Damn, 65-21 The Orygun game will be interesting for the Trees.
Yep, that will be interesting. Both teams can put up a bunch of points. If they tackle the same way they did in the first half yesterday, they may lose. Oregon's team speed might make tackling more challenging for the Trees. But then there's Luck. His receivers have a problem separating from defenders and it makes his passing ability even more remarkable when he gets the ball to where only the receivers can get it. Oregon will need to get hurries on Luck often but the Trees' O-line might have something to say about that. Maybe it will be the Trees and 'Bama in the Nattie. Could happen. 'Bama vs. LSU on 11-05 will be a barn-burner.

I gotta say I am not so sure the Dawgs are going to win this week after that embarrasment. I expected some D or a lot of D not NO D. It looked like if Holt had taught them to tackle they could have stopped every drive. Didn't watch the second half because it was over by then. Hankster should have gave the points because I would have bet.

Still not convinced like everyone else seems to be. If you have two of the top four offensive linemen in the nation and a good running game any QB is going to look good. I have a feeling the luster will wear off in the NFL like so many highly taughted QB's.

Well, that left a mark on Saturday night. The two young linebackers looked lost as did the safeties and corners most of the time. They better strap it on as Zona's going to be jacked after watching that game film.

"If I had given you 40 points, would you have given me 2-1 on the bet you probably wouldn't have paid off anyway?"
No and that's about as strange a way to think about it as feeling you shouldn't give any points.
"Your assessment of Luck makes me want to take you up on any football bet. You can't judge QB talent at all so you're probably an easy mark."
Time will tell. The NFL happens to be the same way. A good O line makes a QB look like a superstar. A bad O line almost always cuts a career short. Pretty much every year we hear about a QB entering the draft who is the second coming and odds are he ends up a dud. I don't expect you to know these things as you live in SF.
