Ray Lewis is the baddest motherfucker to play linebacker in the NFL since maybe ever.
Lynch left him grabbing for his jock on that one though.
Anyone who wouldn't love to have Lewis playing LB on their defense is brewer-level stupid.

I read a mens journal article in which he stated... "Everyone thought I was lifting weights to get better for football. I actually was lifting to fight my (dad or step dad) (cant remember which). He was always beating on me and my mom. I still have a scar on my forehead from where he threw me head first onto a bed frame."
Lynch is good. If the o line can perform better he is good enough to get lots of yards and then is strong enough to run someone over. Remember how good S Alexander was when he a top tier o line?

On that play Lewis actually had his lane covered, his own guy should have stayed put and they would have had Lynch.
Lewis is a BAMF, gets completely amped up for every game, and is fun to watch.
Too bad Lynch may have had his best 2 games as a Hawk the last couple of weeks. Starting right guard and right tackle headed to IR. Lynch is also fun to watch when he can get past the line of scrimmage. He never goes down on first contact, I really admire him. He plays like every down is his last when he is on a 2-7 team. Gamer for sure.

Guys like Ray Lewis are a special breed. Playing that long in the NFL at a high level takes a serious toll on a person's body. He's done it for 16 years.

+1
He treats fans real well too. My lil bro has met him a couple of times and Ray feels honored to be asked for autographs, quite unlike the extreme snobbery of say....Tom Brady who shuns all fan requests.

I kinda disliked Lewis when he came into the NFL because he was a Hurricane, and I couldn't stand the Canes.
But he won me over by the way he plays. He's a f'n animal with a nose for the football. It's not hype when you walk the walk, and he does.
It's clear that brewer is the buffoon, not Lewis.

Ray Lewis is a first class leader and a great example of a pro-sports role model.imo
You must be forgetting the part about Lewis being charged with 2 counts of murder. He turned on a couple of his buddies in a plea agreement,to keep his ass out of jail. Otherwise he'd likely be 10 years in to a couple of life sentences.
Professional athletes are entertainers, nothing more, nothing less.
Lawrence Taylor is another NFL linebacker who's play on the field is legendary and likely unmatched. Like Ray Lewis his off field performances are another story altogether.
We're talking entertainment here and like Mike Vick as well these guys fill the seats.

Entertainment, yes. Also interesting that American football resembles a set-piece battlefield. They are many warriors and wannabe warriors in our midst and this is our idea of entertainment. We go fishing and still have to bring our swords (spudguns) if only for entertainment.
We're not that far removed from Roman times.
Are we savages ? I hope that the extremists think so.
