We didn't have digital photography when I was getting laid by super model wannabes Parker. Barely had color photography as best I recall. And we sure didn't have video games, although there were pinball machines all over the place.

I think Andy Rooney was spot on with this quote:

“I never cared much for games. There's enough to play with in real life.”

Word. Get off the couch and do something productive.

funny. I enjoy playing Halo and Halo 2, Would play Halo 3 and Reach
if Microsoft made it available in PC rather than their Xbox.

Even funnier. My grandson's basketball teammate's father is a big
wig in County Health. Some kind of doctor. Anyway they have
determined that us old farts that play computer games that
give the brain, hand eye connections a workout, stay brain healthy
longer. Halo was specifically mentioned.

Like anything else, it's all about proper balance. Anyone who knows me here knows I'm no couch potato, and I do plenty of productive sh!t every day. At the end of some of those days, I like to chill out and play a game to relax and escape...It's better than a lot of the things other people do to relax and escape.
Also, aside from the benefits that IIlryian posted, a side benefit is as a PC Gamer, I've learned everything there is to know about how a PC works, how to tune it for maximum performance, optimal router configs, etc.. that I would never have learned about otherwise.

Guys, be careful how involved you get with this season's awesome crop of video games. Your wife may try to sell you off.

Kyle Baddley learned this the hard way earlier this month, when his wife Alyse got frustrated by his constant Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 playing and offered him up to the highest bidder on Craigslist.

"I am selling my 22 year old husband," the ad read. "He enjoys eating and playing video games all day. Easy to maintain, just feed and water every 3-5 hours. You must have Internet and space for gaming. Got tired of waiting so free to good home. If acceptable replacement is offered will trade."....

Stopped playing video games seriously after Counter-Strike. I have the Wii, but hardly ever play it. I will 2nd what Sky-Guy said in that playing PC games teaches you a lot more about computers, optimizing, and tweaking the hell out of your stuff to make it perform better.

Too busy for video games these days... I'd rather go fishing in my free time.
