I know it might be oxymoronic, but does anyone have a consistent set up for catching silvers once they hit the lake? I'm 0 for 5, and that's years!!

Search the '03 archive. There are a few choices.

They are tough! I've had good luck and no luck. Like JimH said, check the arhives going back I think to 97'. It does seem to me that the fish bite better as soon as the season opens and get harder to catch the longer they are in the lake. A few years back a sockeye set up was actually very effective, believe it or not.

The toughest part seems to be finding fish in mood to bite. Typical cutthroat gear (coyote spoons) worked well for me last year and just recently as well. 55 feet on the downrigger, 3 1/2 inch green glo or army truck spoons in the Three Fingers area. Arrowhead Point is another spot to try.
