Easy fishery....troll Red/Black Wiggle Warts real fast about 5 feet above the schools out in front of Wolf Bay, Hunts Point or Juanita Bay area. Cigar

Hey Cigar,
Any idea where to get numbers for the coho count? Coyote spoons have been working well for me for both kings and silvers this month.

Hi Jim,
I heard the week before last there were about 2000 through the locks so far. Check your email.

Cigar,
Thanks for the heads up. I talk to the folks you mentioned fairly frequently at the launch. I'll give a wiggle wart a try this weekend to see if that doesn't stir things up a bit. You might remember putting me on to some cutts last year off the yardarm when my fishfinder was on the fritz. Some of us that fish the lake regularly were C&R some nice kings in that area a couple of weeks back. Here's hoping a little rain this week will spark some more action!

Gleenski,
Now is the time! I caught two in 45 minutes this afternoon. No need for a flasher. My setup: snap swivel on the end of your line, 5-6 feet of leader, tie directly to a Coyote spoon or Wiggle Wart. I have been trolling 45-50 feet deep in 55 to 75 feet of water. My fishfinder shows my trolling speed at 2.5 mph.

The Houghton/Kirkland waterfront was packed with silvers this morning. I'm afraid between the nets and the rain it will be slim pickings net weekend.
Hey Cigar, where do nets go in, the ship canal?

Yee Ha! Man I wish I had fished these Silvers before today! I couldn't believe the fish on the screen and on top of the water. My mother and I, went 4 for 6 this morning. 6, 7, 8, and 10#. It sure is nice to play a fish without dragging a flasher with them. We got 1 on a Wiggle Wart, and all the others on the green and white Coyote fished at 60' on the wire and 2.5 mph. Water depth from 70' to 90'. Jim and Cigar, thanks for the info.

I called the hotline and apparently they'll be either in Lake Union or the ship canal. I will be out after 9:00am tomorrow.

Really well! Limits in 3 hours fishing (9:00 am to 12:00pm)between Hunts and Yarrow Point. 80-100 feet of water running the Wiggle Warts pictured straight off the downrigger at 60 feet. Quite a few fish in there right now, saw several other caught. Boats coming in at Magnuson park were all limited when were were putting in. We also saw a side-scanning sonar boat running up and down the lake, so I assume the netters will be in there soon, go get them now!
