Maybe.

You'd probably have to out bid Stam, though.

Opening bid starts at ????????

He initially listed the rod and reel for $700. I told him that one can buy the brand new rod at MSRP $500 and $100 for the reel. After that, he changed the combo for $495 for more than a month now. At one that I proposed to trade my CT286 + $100 for his CT290 but he asked for $200. I then told him I am not crazy to pay $200 for an extra 6" inches of rod. I ended selling my CT286 for $325 and bought an excellent CT290 for $300 last week. Some people are greedy :-) Instead of losing $100, I made $25.

i actually like the 286 over 290, 286 is very nice and soft fishes like a 6-12lb rod. i need the 296 for big BC brutes 286 and 290 are too light

That is one big pile of gear...though why anyone would spend more than $69 on a spinning rod is beyond me.

Who would spend so much money on so many high end rods and reels and "hardly or never" use them?

Fish on...

Todd

I have a lightly used 290 and 386 if anyone is interested. They are professionally made custom rods(top notch components) that I picked up 10 years ago. Just don't gear fish that much anymore.

If you have an extra CT290 or 296 left over that outrnm doesn't want, I have a GL3 1263C almost new w/ receipt and will throw in a $200-$250 for one.

This guy has lowered his demand for a CT290 + a Quantum reel from $700 down to $425:
