I just bought a new pickup. Now I need a cab high fiberglass canopy with color matched to my truck. Any suggestions?

I've got one of these on my Tundra, not the cheapest, but well worth the money.
The color matches perfectly.

I've purchased three Leer's from Canopy World over the years. They will usually dicker a bit too.

Depends on what you want and how much you want to spend.

My criteria (as I shopped) was.....

1. Keyless entry
No dual tee handles

2. Frameless
No old school, aluminum framed glass

3. Color matched

4. Fiberglas

5. Reinforced, load bearing roof
Allows the Yakima or Thule rack system and also permits mounting stuff on the inside, such as rod racks.

6. Bed rug type carpeting on the interior of the canopy....pretty standard these days. With tinted glass and dark carpeting it's harder to see inside. The lighter gray carpeting is not as concealing.

7. Front slider on hinges (drop-down) to allow for cleaning of all the forward glass and cab glass.

8. LED hard wired lighting....pretty standard

I looked a Leer and Snug Top side by side.
I chose Snug Top.

It was a bucket list thing....I wanted the canopy to be an extension of the vehicle , not a cheap, aluminum wart. I have already had some of those.

All-American is the Snug/Leer dealer down here. I used the Aloha shop.

Still have my custom 'glass cap from '91, so's I'm not up on the present offerings. With that given, I did gander at a CarryBoy cap a few years ago, and it was impressive on a number of fronts....

Another for Canopy World. I bought a Lear canopy from them in 1998 when that truck was new. They had the best price. I had problems with the canopy leaking; most of it because of the Lear design at the time. Canopy world did their best to get everything fixed. Excellent customer service, at least back then.

I bought a new truck this summer and purchased another Lear over here in Coeur d'alene. The design had changed and so far no problems at all and I am very happy with the Lear. Like has already been mentioned there are a lot of options with a canopy to decide on. I spent $45K for the truck and I wasn't going to cheap out on the canopy.

Good luck. A new truck is a beautiful thing.

Did Canopy Kingdom once. Got my current canopy from Craigslist for a lot less but my truck is older. You could always paint one if you can't find the matching color.

They will read the paint color number off your door sticker, order one painted and call you when it's in.

Does anyone's canopy ever stay watertight? Many of my buds have theses $1500 Leer's and it seems like about a year before they start leaking

My last one was water tight for 13 years before I sold it. The one I have now has been water tight for three years so far. And these are my home away from home when camping and fishing. I too know people who have issues with their vehicles but it's because they are always trying to fix what ain't broke and monkeying with them. I don't ever remove my canopies.

SuperHawk in Marysville is where I have bought my last two canopy's. They are able to deal in Leer and others and their volume seems to keep the prices very competitive.

My last one did leak but it was the gasket around the window which they fixed right away and was really a manufacturing defect.

I had mentioned frameless glass and it does look nice. My Super Sport has rear, wing opening windows.

However, if I still had dogs I would consider sliders on the side windows with removable screens.
This means Alu framed windows.

Snug makes a couple of models that look like the Super Sport model that I have, only with the side sliders.

Xtra Vision
http://www.snugtop.com/products/xtra-vision.php
The Rebel and Cab-Hi models feature side sliders at lower price points.

The optional Sportsman's package gets you a reinforced load bearing roof (Yakima Rack system available).
It's 1" thick so you can run screws up into it for rod racks, etc without punching through.
I told them to "ship loose" the included rod rack and clothes hanger.
Put them in yourself, where you want them.

There is $100 off coupon from corporate on line. I negotiated my price and then hit them with the coupon just to make sure that there was no price-padding to absorb the coupon.

Good luck, take your time and get what you want.

Looks nice Dave !
Congrats.

Keep an eye on the canopy for leaks and door function.
They should cover any issues for the first year.
