We are watching a black lab for a couple of friends while they are out of town this week. My wife called this morning and told me she (the lab) just finished eating half a 1lb. bag of hershey kisses. Friggin dogs. T-minus an hour until she starts crapping her brains out.

Cedar's favorite place to sit, my driver's seat. He had some Hostess doughnuts last night.

Tye is safe to leave alone to roam the house - as long as there are no dish towels, hats, gloves or tee shirts around. Yesterday he got excited and chased a little gril down the hill on her sled. When he caught her he grabbed her stocking hat and hauled [Bleeeeep!]. I often want to laugh and shoot him at the same time.

I was drying some cascara bark and my dog chewed a piece up. She slept in an enclosed porch. What a mess the next morning. Poor thing must not have slept at alI.

My tail wags just fine .. . even when I am having a bad day. .. . .it's when I am having a bad day and someone comes up and tries to kick me in the sack while my leg is caught in the fence that I get a little pisssy. . . .
Now if someone where to try to help get my leg out of the fence, my attitude might improve.. .. I do appreciate your concern though.

It's tough to kick someone in the sack when there isn't one there to kick...... Sorry, had to;)

My first lab was so awesome. I liked to take him to a ball field about a block away from the house a few times a week. It was across a busy street and I had taught him not to cross without me. We would do a little training and then he would hunt for baseballs in the greenbelt along the side of the field. I had a good size collection of baseballs. One night on the way back from the field I noticed the neighbors Kids were playing with a couple of lab pups so I stopped to offer them a couple of the days trophies. As soon as the father noticed Raven(AKC Sneaky Ray Vaugh) sitting next to me He shook his head and let me know this new dog thing was all my fault. This was the first time I had ever talked to these people and somehow I was to blame for them buying two dogs. He then explained that while I was away at work most days that Raven would jump 3 of the neighbors fences to play with his kids in the backyard and hang out IN their house. When he herd my truck come home he would race back to my backyard and wait for me at the back gate where I would let him in for the night. After almost a year of this the dad agreed the kids could have A dog. After seeing the litter both boys picked out A pup. Still miss that dog

Cool story Art!
So the dog I am watching did finally yack last night. Of course 70% of our house is hard wood floors and she managed to find a nice soft carpeted spot to blow chunks. No sign of the chocolate, but she did work out two completely intact foil mayonnaise packets, which definitely didn't come from our place. Wonder how long those had been rolling around in there.
