First of all, I'd like to say hello. I am a new member on here, but I've been a member of other online forums for a while (refugeforums.com, etc).

I found the site while searching for good crayfish waters in or around Chelan County. There isn't a whole lot of information out there, so I thought someone here might be able to help.

I use traps for them, and I'm catching them to eat. I've fished Douglas Creek for the little buggers, but it's getting tougher with the droughts the past couple of seasons.

Anyone have any ideas of lakes near me that hold decent crayfish populations? Does Fish Lake or Lake Wenatchee have any?

Thanks for the help. I hope to post a bunch more now that I'm registered.

Rylan

Welcome to the Forum, Rylan. We don't get too much crayfish reports. You may want to try using the search feature on WashingtonLakes.com and see what pops up.

Hey fellas...I actually make my own traps and could very easily teach you guys how to make them. They come out to cost about $8.00 per trap, and they're much better than the general commercial trap. I mimic Terry Bullard's design. Just google "crayfish trap" and his site should be at the top. If you're intrested...send me an email.
