Had a [Bleeeeep!] ton of trees break. My driveway was blocked four times, so I've hauled branches and tree tops for three days so we can get to our road. I'm really glad we have showers here at my office.

We lost power for a few hours last night with that blow, but not long enough to fire up the genset.

Salmo, if you go to Home Depot, dont buy the pre-made patch cords, ...Way too expensive. Buy the plugs and a length of wire suitable for your spot and do it yourself...It'll save ya a tidy bit o cash thumbs

SkyGuy,

That's what I was thinking. Looks like I need a length of all weather coated 10 ga. wire. That's gonna' cost a bit right there. Looks like I need a 30 amp 120 v. plug into the generator. I may need to call my electrician to figure out the plug-in he used for the service panel. There are three different pin lengths for those plugs. I'd rather not have to buy 3 and then return 2 of them.

Power restored at 7:45 last night, so the pressure is off at the moment. Practically everything in the fridge and fridge/freezer went out in this morning's garbage. That was sad as there were still a couple pieces of fall silver in there along with some razor clams, shrimp, and Dungie crab.
