Here is a bit out of focused hen. Beautiful thing about them is you can catch multiple fish on them without too much damage. I literally landed three steelhead one day on a single worm. Finally had to retire the dern thing!

Here is a 42.75" buck! After several presentations with a spoon, back to the top with ol' holey and presto! I need to get some better pics though but you get the idea. I'm sold! Meadow is too!

I ordered some for when the rivers came back in shape and they got here so quick the rivers are still to high, guess I will have to wait a bit more on momma nature.

I dont usally drift fish pink worms. The few times iv threaded a worm and drifted one I get tons of line twist on my leader. I can see side drifting from a db that wouldnt happen but on the swing of my drift they seem to spin, twirl or crunch up. These wouldnt work as well puting them on a jig but if you threaded one on a leader followed by a bait weight it would be money under a float.

Seems like I met this guy up close & personal..

Wasn't too sure about the mid-worm hook placement, but it found its way to corner jaw no problemo.

Swiped some off TRBO for personal use & they are stupid easy to rig, and NO BOB I did not put them in my mouth to lubricate them for mono insertion........... eek2

There's something about that entire last sentence that just seems wrong and could probably get you jailed in at least 13 states!

How do you rig em. Any beads, pegs, or just slide it on and cast it out?

Well a hook will help some...... grin

I just slid them on some leaders I had already tied up.

I went w/ the hook by tail 5" type & the 15 lb. ultragreen went in with zero effort ( no spit, beer or gel based lubes needed BOB.), running a 1/0 or 2/0 red Gammi w/ no bead.

I added a matching bullet shaped "winner" drift bobber just because I like the look of the finished product. They are really durable & float high, I fished one worm all day Saturday & it looked good till the last.

Seriously, the hardest part is tying the leader. I like to use a 1/0 Matzuo (the thicker and less profounded bend version) on about a 28" or so 15-20 lb. leader. Don't worry about the fish being line or weight shy, their more concerned with the big wobbly thing invading their territory. Slip a bead or sequin down to the hook, slide the worm on the line (takes two seconds), then I like to slide a small bead and a metallic pink #12 Spin n' Glo above the worm. I'll change colors and size of spin n' glow with varying water conditions. Drift fished or side, free front forward drifted or whetever you want to call it, fish seem to slam them with a vengence! thumbs

Yes, thanks. I have used the non holy worms, it just seemed to easy to just slide the leader up. Ordered some and will give em a try.

This was an accident fish. I cast my Holey off to the far side channel and began drifting. Next thing I know something clobbers me in the back of head and I drop to my knees. Apparently Dave V. didn't want me to get the first cast in there. His rod made contact with my head..... wink I'm positive it was an accident, I think. blush While down in the gravel, I feel my rod practically get pulled right out of my hand! I somehow pulled back and got this girl!

I hope that's the last time I hear "Vedder", "Holey Worm", and "Head" in the same sentence...especially the "his rod making contact with my head" part wink

Fish on...

Me too!

Danny didn't post the photo of the hen I got on a Holey Worm, which could have eaten that dinky thing he caught by accident!
