As mentioned before, it's about getting up close and personal. I've yet to accomplish my goal to arrow an elk within reaching distance. My personal best yet is 7 yards. I had a bull at 4 yards but he came in head over the top of me, my nerves nearly took the best of me on that one... I'll never forget those blood red eyes and drool that was hanging from his mouth. After last year's springer trip I learned that a comfy wife is a happy life when it comes to fishing. Haha.
