How do you feel about all the right wing talking heads complaining that Obama is "politicizing" the one year anniversary of making the call to get Bin Laden?

"Mission Accomplished"
That one's still got to smart.
I like it how the RWWJ's say Obama doesn't have a record, and then whine when he talks about his...record.
Let me guess...he had nothing to do with it, right?
Hypocrisy from the RWWJ's, again, as usual.
I thought Slabby would be especially ready to share his feelings, since the talking heads are whining that we are "spiking the ball"...just like in Slabby's sig line where he is quoting FishRanger saying we should do...just that.
Fish on...
Todd
P.S. Don't bother with "it was all the SEALs"...because if it had gone sideways, you'd all be blaming it on Obama for making the call to send them in...right?

I think killing the bastard was a good thing, but who really believes that the O man was the key?

The obvious and most truthful answer is "anyone who would have blamed him if it had gone sideways"...which, I'm sure we can both agree, includes you Slabby. He's like the QB...only one player, but gets the blame when the offense falters, and gets the credit when it scores a touchdown...and this one was clearly a big touchdown, especially after we went to Afghanistan to get him and those who sheltered him, and not only could Bush not do it during his two terms, he claimed to not even care where Bin Laden was or what he was up to. When Obama got elected he re-focused on the only reason we were nominally there, which was to get Bin Laden, and then he went and did it. Right wingers, in their zeal to attack the President for anything and everything, whether true or not, or whether the President had anything to do with it, or not, have once again let their hate and idiocy get in the way of not only America's well being, but their own well being, too...again. This will be a big deal, as Romney has zero foreign policy history, and Obama ended the war in Iraq, and found and killed Osama bin Laden...what the right wingers should have done is agreed that it was an awesome deal, give him a bit of credit for his part in it, and ended it...instead they are the ones who made it a big deal, and they are the ones who will pay for it. As is often the question of the day...don't these guys have any political advisors beyond their hate and Grover Nordquist? Every statement they ever make is either anti-Obama, or about tax cuts. Fish on... Todd

That's a trophy dubya would have liked to have had hangin'. Bommer sacked up, made the call and the SEALs made it happen.
Political currency that would be used by either party.

Oh yeah, "Not Bush" will be an effective campaign slogan for decades. GW did more for the Democratic Party than the party has done for itself in, well I'm not sure since the party has been screwing up more often than not. The Ds owe Bush a lot.

GW's handlers would never do anything like that. Every Democratic Presidential candidate from here to eternity will be still running against Bush won't they... They will as long as the R economic plan is the same disastrous one as Bush's that tanked our economy...tax cuts for the rich, less regulation for "the job creaters" (lol), and inflammatory bullschit about those who rely on social safety nets to get by. Unfortunately for the R's, that is likely to always be their entire platform...well, that and all the Victorian bassackwards social engineering they'd like to do with their "smaller and less intrusive" government. Romney said he would absolutely NOT have launched any operations into the territory of our "ally" Pakistan. There is no need to conjecture on it...he said he would not. Afterwards, of course, he said he would have done it, too...but going 180 on stuff over and over again is pretty much the only thing that Romney does that is consistent. Since Romney said he wouldn't do it, and Obama clearly would, and did do it, it's a very valid distinction between the two to make during election season. http://in.reuters.com/article/2007/08/04/idINIndia-28811520070804"Obama on Wednesday said if elected president in November 2008 he would be willing to launch military strikes against al Qaeda targets inside Pakistan with or without the approval of the Pakistani government of President Pervez Musharraf. "If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf won't act, we will," Obama said. Romney, the former Massachusetts governor who is one of the Republican front-runners, said U.S. troops "shouldn't be sent all over the world." He called Obama's comments "ill-timed" and "ill-considered." "There is a war being waged by terrorists of different types and nature across the world," Romney said. "We want, as a civilized world, to participate with other nations in this civilized effort to help those nations reject the extreme with them." " *************** Now, in typical Romney style, that he doesn't have to have any balls, or convictions, or make any actual decisions...since the operation worked, and got bin Laden, now Romney says he would have done it, too. Liar...either before, or now...probably both. An election is a choice between two candidates, a choice between what the two do and say...and Romney said he would not do it, Obama said he would, and did, and got bin Laden. If that's not viable election material to show the difference between Obama and Romney, then nothing is. Fish on... Todd

Todd, why I never dreamed that that was the reason you called me out. O gets credit for the kill. Feel better? Do you think any president would have made the call differently? O say's "Keep your eyes open for any clue to Bin Laden's whereabouts. Let me know when you have something." An intercepted phone call gives away the position. O says, "What's our best option?" Then after a group discussion a decision is made to not bomb the compound, but to try and take out Osama with a seal team. O says, "Do it!" and wonderfully it works out....for which everyone rejoices!! The End Maybe that should be O's new re-election cry......."Just Do it!" Which is probably more appropriate than "Kill the bastards!", considering that he is a Nobel Peace Prizer. How did O do as far as election promises?

Read my above post, Slabby...he said "if elected and I hear about schit going down in Pakistan, I'll go there and do it"...and he got elected, and he did just that.
How's that one for you?
How about "politicizing" it by showing that Romney said he wouldn't do that? How about Romney saying now that he would? Does it ever bother you that Romney flipflops on everything except cutting taxes for rich people? I mean everything...health care, reproductive rights, foreign policy issues like Pakistan...everything.

The "Obama got bin Laden because of torture" is a bullschit RWWJ idea, one grounded in about as much truth as Romney's well-grounded convictions about...well, anything.
Made up by right wingers, and as wrong as their hypocrisy is long.

Watching various news channels this morning has shown me that the Romney camp will continue to whine about Obama telling everyone that he went and got Osama, while Romney said he would not go into Pakistan...thereby keeping this story right at the top of the heap for a while long, which is about the dumbest thing the Romney camp could possibly do.
Oh, well...no one ever said they were smart, just rich.

P.S. I wouldn't be surprised if Romney couldn't even find Pakistan on a globe.

You're wrong again, Hank, but this time on purpose.
That's after he said he wouldn't, before he said he would...as usual, it's him not really saying anything, at least nothing that he won't change his mind about the next time he's asked.

One thing's for sure about Romney...he's like the weather...don't like his opinion? Give it five minutes...it'll change.
And then change back. Or to something else..
You can see his other opinion on the same subject in the quotes I put up yesterday.

And...using a Romney interview where he "explains" what he said earlier by contradicting what he said, therby changing his opinion again, supports what I'm saying about Romney...it sure as hell doesn't support anything good about him.

Nice try, Hank...the only ones who believe the crap yer spewin' are your right wing true believers, and they're already voting for Romney, due to the "R"...it's all the others that he needs to have a ghost's chance of winning the election who are laughing at the right wing's whining about Obama, and at Romney changing his mind repeatedly, while you seem to only remember the opinion that fits your view today better.

And that picture is one of the most egregiously ridiculous attempts I've seen in a while...the only place that Osama should be on that pic with Bush is behind Bush's back while Bush is looking for WMD's in the wrong country, and going after the wrong leader...while ignoring those who actually attacked us.
Thank God we got a leader who remembered what the entire point of going there was in the first place, and made sure it finally got done.

I'm afeared that the only one running that has a chance at beating obama is Ron Paul. Romney does little to warm my heart and I know there are millions that feel the same as me.

He's not politicizing it nearly as much as the Republicans are, and unfortunately for them they are on the wrong end of that stick if they want to keep killing Osama bin Laden on the front burner instead of talking about other issues.
They're making their own bed, as usual.

I ask myself, what will I get for my vote. I already know the answer when it comes to Obama.....and it's really not pretty.
So, if I want change, it has to be someone else. Not because I'm enamered with Mitt.....because I'm not......but at least I don't know in advance whether or not he will be a pleasant surprise. With O....no chance of making things better....only worse and with more debt. My kids can't afford that choice.

Come on Slap. Pure Utopia would rein in his second term.
Everybody would be out of work. Who needs a job anyway? Everybody would be on food stamps. We do need to eat and free food always tastes better they say. Everybody paying $10 for a gallon of gas. Nobody could afford to go anywhere so that would cut all of our carbon footprints to zero. Al Gore would wet his pants over that. He's a Bedwetter anyway. Who could not vote for the Bambo to achieve these goals. Well, me for one (1). I know... I'll pissoff the give-me-that crowd for that but ask me if I care.
Utopia was promised the first go around. Pure Utopia would surely be the order in a second go round.
