Still no reason to use a 4-foot leader in water you could plant potatoes in.

So now someone's a flosser with a 3-4 foot leader? Whatever. Some of you guys are getting a little too purist and self righteous. Light up your pipe and hit the fly only water already.

I don't think the leader length on the Puyallup matters too much...when there is exactly "zero" visibility it's not likely that you're getting much in the way of bites no matter how long or short your leader is.

Fish on...

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

I knew someone would bring up flossing from a boat..........except you can't floss well from a boat because THE BOAT MOVES.

had 1 bite that was it... was told that last week the hatchery had around 50 fish in it that were let up, and this week there was 12 more... not sure of any truth to that, but wouldnt be out of the question...

only lost 1 setup today...

also found a nice little chunk of Amber, pretty cool, never have done that before...

well, i was told it was Amber by some dude down there that collected rocks... after doing some of the tests from online, its not Amber, atleast i dont think it is...

its weird looking, you can see through it, but its yellowish brown and such... the only thing i can think of it being would be Citrine which is a type of Quartz, but is extremely rare to find....

who knows, maybe ill take it to a jeweler....

what ever it is its pretty cool looking...

I think it's a chunk of a Rainier tall boy bottle from 1974 that's been abraded by the constant flood of glacial silt running down the Puyallup that renders it as clear as wet concrete most the year.

Fish on...

nah its not glass, i hit it with a hammer... nothing happened.... its 3/8ths of an inch thick too...

you can see into it, when you turn it, you can see hints of clear, then the yellowy brown colors... pretty interesting...

yeah i really dont care much, but it does get old ...

ive got 29 years under my belt, and i have never once broken a rule/law, or tried to get around it using some other idiotic method... even when i run yarn balls soaked in oils or whatever, my moto is "if it aint chrome, it dont come home, if it aint in the mouth, it dont come home either".... screw the gill plate forward BS...ive put far too much time and money and effort into this, and ill be damned if i start doing it unethically.... i also would be a hypocrite.... not happening...

like i need to explain myself, but it is what it is...

Any bugs in that amber? You could sell it and get yourself one of those 6-quadrillion fps cameras.

You owe me a keyboard. :>)
