I've seen the figure of 43 thousand dollars per person (every person) in the U.S. to bail out the banks ( and that figure was in 2010), so add bailouts since to that figure.......so here's my question.....

If you and I and everyone you know had gotten that money, do you think there would be an economic crisis? I personally don't see how there could be.....no one would be in mortage jeapordy or getting food stamps........Hell we wouldn't even be concerned about it........

Your views?

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 97% of that money has been paid back, with interest. No, my bank didn't take any of that.

so true, people are known for making financially prudent decisions when given large, one-time sums of cash.

I've always thought that we should have gotten the money, most would have paid their bills, mortgage, car or whatever and credit cards. Then the banks would have had the money and most have used it to their financial advantage. However there are those that would have blown it on rims and gigantic TV's or whatever and ended up farther into debt. The stipulations should have been accept this money and do whats right or live/die with your own consequences.

If they were going to give the money out anyway the people that pay the bills should have gotten the money.

AM, Not true.

IF they were going to give a stimulus then by giving it to the people they would have paid their bills and the banks would have still have the money. If they were going to inject money into the system then it should have come from the ground up and those that blew it would be on their own now, but the majority would have done the right thing.

IF they were going to have a stimulus, instead of giving it to the Banksters.

I wish there were no federal debt but I don't get to make those decisions.

It hilarious to think that my one vote ( and only I know whom I voted for) had the weight of all that influence on it that I would be responsible for bailing out the banks.

Does that also mean that EVERYONE that voted Republican is a warmonger and responsible for all those deaths and dismemberment's? They must also be responsible for all the gaffs that Bush made and his disastrous economic failures.

As a responsible person that pays my bills I find it hilarious that you would point your finger only at the Dems when the Tpubs are just as culpable.

I voted to replace a president that proved he was a lousy choice. You don't appear to have that same wisdom.

Sure I do, I voted to get rid of Bush.

Nobody has my vote yet, but I like shaking you guys chains while your genuflecting Romney.

grin
