The year Boz was a rookie, my buddy was working in the radio biz. We got invited to a party at a well know Seattle dj's home. I remember being outside having a drink and the Boz pulled up in a white vette.
When he got out of the car, I was surprised how small he was. Later in the night we gave him some [Bleeeeep!] about the Dawgs pounding the Sooners in the 85 Orange Bowl.

Dirty Dave's Pizza in Oly has a Land of Boz poster on the ceiling right now.

OK, seriously serious this time. This is a favorite player of mine.

He was born in Tacoma and was a standout athlete at Peninsula High School. He played wide receiver for the UW and set school pass reception records while a Husky. Later, he played for the Seahawks and was known for his third down drive sustaining catches. He and Milli Vanilli peaked at the same time, only he was for real.

Paul Skansi

You got it. I watched him play high school basketball against our local team. He was a real competitor. A quality he took to collegiate and professional football, as well. It was fun to watch a local kid have success as he moved up to more competitve levels.

Since he was local, probably some board members know Skansi, or his family. Any stories?

Kenny Easley.......hands down my favorite player, although I really liked Dave Kreig too. Gotta love a guy that would do an interview with a dip in and a Werhauser hat on.

Bronko Nagurski

As a 9 year old kid, I watched Paul Skanski seemingly single handedly beat my older brother's football team in the high school playoffs in '79. From that point, I followed his career at UW and Seattle.

No story but I recall my brother respected him as a player and a person.

Billy "White Shoes" Johnson...loved that guy as a kid. Sweetness was my favorite though.
