In 2008 I was working on a fixed income in the fifth level of Hell. On a fixed income with increasing expenses. Wife and I retired. Still on a fixed income.

Much more relaxed, much healthier, actually putting money away for big trips and such. have the time to work on the house and yard, hunt and fish more than before, care for ill parents.

No bed of roses, but better.

I do admit that it would be a damsite better if the Legislature and Congress would do their jobs of governing rather than pandering to their "base".

And, just for grins, let's say that Romney wins, the House stays R, and the Senate in 51-49 R. Just what would change? The minority in the Senate could gum up the works just as well as the House or minority in the Senate does now. Unless those folks decide to work together we continue to be screwed.

I would not blame them for passing something thru continuing resolution like obamacare was. Therefore, it wont be hard to unwind either.

There are more teaparty members than in 2010. They are concerned with fiscal issues, constitutional issues. Time will tell, how they conduct themselves on these issues. They need to get rid of the pork and waste, reign in govt and get business moving and they only have about 18 months, or they could lose the majority.

I believe that at any time a senator can threaten filibuster, and that takes 60 votes to over-ride. I just see more posturing and no real progress.

And if the R's don't get the Senate then we have really nice gridlock.

And no matter Romney says about overturning Obamacare on Day 1, he can't do anything. Congress has to vote to overturn it.

You can justify it any way you want chuck to a lot of Christians it is more offensive than talking about their family. You do not get to say what you want and then get all defensive when your ox gets gored. If you don't want it done to you then don't do it to others pretty simple.
