Your sarcasm does not make the case for their grand standing. Liberals often go along with these ideas. It keep them out of trouble and they can always come back later for special tax breaks. If they are serious about paying off the debt, they can write checks to the Treasury. When they come out and attack spending, you know they are serious. Steven Spielberg got a govt grant years ago for a holocaust museum, after he made Schindlers list. Its not hard to find people on that list that have benefitted from one administration or another. Jeffrey Immelt, from GE is a prime example. Mr. Windmill. Bill Ackman from Pershing Square personally benefitted by shorting Citibank and a number of other stocks, that drove the price of those stocks into the ground. He is a hedge fund manager. Remember that, the next time you want to complain about Mitt and Bain Capital. I see the list of names, but I do not see a plan. Definitely a lot of very smart people on that list. Simpson Bowles are the founders of the group. Obama would not touch their plan. In fact their own group did not come up with a plan that was broadly supported. Its a start and maybe Romney will be able to seize the initiative to get something done and do so while protecting republicans from Democrats, who came after George Bush, for raising taxes, to accomplish much the same goal. That is one of the reasons why, no republican will support tax increases. Democrats will come back and tell you what rotten people republicans were for raising taxes. Its totally dishonest.

Fishy, you are the epitome of hypocrisy. Name calling is OK for the lily livered liberals. I never see you "chide" them or restrain yourself. According to you, those who won't examine Obama's pubic hairs are the name callers... That's a LIE.
I've yet to see you be objective here about Romney. Your bias is as big as the lie you tell that you're a centrist. To use your term AM which is the epitome of hubris "You must not be paying attention, because I posted something about something twelve years ago" ( Ok I paraphrased the last part but you get my drift). I had a conversation with Hank where I said what I did not like about the Dems and President Obama and what I did like about the R's candidates. Todd and I have been round a few times, but since there are so many on here that slam everything Dem then I feel compelled sometimes to throw some water on the fire. Hypocrisy is when you denounce everything the Dems have accomplished and then tell everyone how things will be so different under an R administration, where everyone will have a job, (even though everyone has retracted their home budgets and their will be little or no DEMAND for said products or services)! We will all ride unicorns and never have to worry about terrorists, healthcare, retiring and the deficit will fix itself even though they will cut the tap of monies flowing into it by 20% and raise the amount given to the military (contractors) all by cutting little used programs like PBS, Medicare, Medicaid, SS,food stamps, education and on and on. Thanks for playing, time to watch the game, GO Detroit! Fishy Wow, you put so much of your BS spin on that, it made me almost as dizzy as you. Not much truth in it either, but there never is. You should recognize this one; ![rofl rofl](/forum/images/graemlins/default_dark/rofl.gif) Fishy

Oh and here's a look at what ole mitty will do on his very first day!! The Morning After President-elect Willard M. Romney — congratulations! It’s a Mormon miracle, when you think about it, even bigger than Brigham Young University’s stunning upset of No. 1-ranked Miami in 1990. Turns out, you really could write off 47 percent of Americans, the moochers and victims. All it took was a tough march through the suburbs of Florida, Virginia, Colorado and — ha, ha, Bruce Springsteen — Ohio. http://opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/10/25/the-morning-after-2/Fishy The NY Times is covering all of their bases..they have another column out yesterday saying who's to blame for the Big O loss..It's Bubba's fault. ![rofl rofl](/forum/images/graemlins/default_dark/rofl.gif) How Bill Clinton May Have Hurt the Obama Campaign http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/10/24/how-bill-clinton-may-have-hurt-the-obama-campaign/?hp ![babble babble](/forum/images/graemlins/default_dark/bablefish.gif) Fishy
