I'm looking to read up on elk. Specifically Roosevelt Elk. any recommendations on good elk hunting books? I'll be hunting the wet side for late archery.

I own a few, and the best I have is Elk & Elk Hunting, by Wayne Van Zwoll. Safari Press, 2001. The author is from Washington and has long experience with west side elk. He is also an ex-competition shooter and really knows guns and shooting.
Back in 1992, he wrote a book called, Elk Rifles, Cartridges and Hunting Tactics. Also excellent, in my opinion.

thank you. I'll look into it. I did find one specific to bow hunting that i may order. I went to Barnes and noble hoping to flip through some books the other day. For some reason they don't have a single hunting book on their shelves...what gives? hippies?
