So his GPA was 2.6, who cares.
I graduated with a 2.8. College is about a lot more then your GPA.
It is about a chance to live on your own and to start forming who you'll be in the future.
I did it all while in school, which ranged from studying and partying.
It was one of the best times of my life. If you went to college, you'd understand that. If you didn't, you post stupid [Bleeeeep!] like you did.

I guess anyone with a better gpa at columbia, should have no reason to vote for Obama. I dont know what classes he took, but it certainly didnt help him become a better leader. His limited experience also shows. He ran when he did, because he was an unknown and his negatives were low or easy to cover up. America got what it voted for. That is what happens when making history is more important than solving our problems.

Hank, I knew it was undergrad, I was just busting Slab's chops.... He sounded like he was pretty proud of is own work to bust the chops of a 20 year old Ivy League student for getting what is admittedly a pretty unimpressive GPA.
Then again, my college GPA was pretty unimpressive too. I failed a class in my major (physics -- quantum mechanics), and got a D the second time. Brutal.
And while we're at it, Gates dropped out of college... Oh, so did Steve Jobs... And they're like two of the brightest business executives ever. Maybe we're on to something here.

Lots of top schools use a 5.0 system to determine grad rank and valedictorian. Your cum never goes above 4.0 but internally your classes are scored on difficulty above 4.0 . An advance law class might have a potential 4.3 for example. Columbia law grads are highly sought after by major law firms and they wan the highest ranked students. If 100 people have 4.0 they need to be able to differentiate based on classes taken.

Big-Daddy... Question -- what's more relevant to an election -- the grades a candidate got in college, or his taxes from say the last 5 years? You sure you want to argue the transparency angle?
Re: Columbia -- what era is that average GPA stat from, Hank? Grade inflation is RAMPANT these days, due at least in part to schools trying to score better on various "best college" evaluations, which create strange admissions/grading incentives.
