I got two birds this year......one for us (me bride and myself) and one to take over to the kids in Wenatchee......I'll smoke that one....goes in tonight.

Do the right thing..save 'em a leg and a wing to go with the breasts. A left wing will do I suppose. Left wing and turkey do kinda go together. I have Lefty kids and Righty kids.......Righty's outnumber Lefty's though. And there are no Lefty men......yet. But the grandkids likely will be influenced by their parents......then there goes the men thing.

i bought a real nice breast today thinkin i was going to smoke it for a bit due to this post..
didnt happen, got hungry and cooked it...
i got a 12 pound one for me and my mother, any way i can pull anything off to smoke it a bit with a Lil Chief?

Yes, thighs and legs are on the top rack, breast and wings on the lower. I left it in the smoker for 12 hrs total, but the last four hours were without additional heat. The smoker is in an old fridge and the heat stays very consistent in there.
