To all, even you, Illy.
We've much to be thankful for when most of our problems are petty little first world issues. That is no crap. Kinda makes complaining about a rough day at work seem a little petty when you look around the world.

I wrote a check for $50 today to an old man and his dog who were apparently living out of his truck, and his truck overheats all the time. He was rooting around in the bed of truck trying to find his can of WD-40 when my wife and I pulled up to see why his hood was up. I handed him my can of WD-40, gave him my untouched half of my sandwich, and wrote a check out for 50 bucks. He was stunned and did the "You don't need to do that" thing.....yeah, right. He was about in tears. I told him to have a Happy Thanksgiving.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Very thankful that we've had another healthy and largely very happy year...
Except for that Mariners part.
Though I guess they DFA'd Chone Figgins today so even on that front I have something to be thankful for.
Best to y'all.

For me, my family, and friends this has been a rough year with way too many deaths. Still, there is so much to be thankful for, and I am.

My day was a truck load of work, shopping, cooking and cleaning, for a newly mixed family- all for a general lack of appreciation of expense or effort, but I appreciate the mixed views of my peers here, and am very thankful for my overall general health, food on the table, roof overhead and a bottle of Pendelton that is only half empty, which tonight makes all the difference. World politics and finance aside... Life is good and I raise my glass to this ragged band on a day of thanks.

My wife is gone to take care of her dying mother up in Canada. My neighbor invited me over to his brother's house for a prime rib dinner, other friends also invited me over, but I decided to serve dinner to homeless folks and others in need at my Parish.
It was a great Thanksgivng and reminded me of the many blessings I have.
Wishing you all a great Thanksgiving.

Quote ......"Thank you so much for your kind gift. We (lol..."we") were able to get the parts to change the water pump and we now have heat in the truck, as well as cured the overheating problem! Thanks so much !! (signed by both the guy and the dog) Pretty cool, huh??
