In this senseless act of violence, who will know for sure what the victim may or may not have done to push this cull over the edge.

One thing for sure, from my point of view, after that poor woman was murdered, for whatever reason, I'm just glad that the angry assailant still had a firearm in his hand to bring some closure and finish off what our justice system may not have been able to do.

So wait, you have a sports anchor, quoting a local news article, and clearly expressing an editorial opinion.... That's bad.

But you have a "Fair and balanced" news outlet, which in fact slants its coverage to the point that it abandons all pretense of being either fair or balanced on issues. That's good.

I find both to be mistakes. The difference is that the mistake is the corner case/exception for both Costas and NBC Football. It's the rule on FoxNews.

I think that's the argument, if Fox can distort, fabricate and just plain make up the news, and get away with it by claiming it's their Constitutional right to free speech, then why can't Costas give his opinion?

Actually there *is* a correlation... In both cases, the opinion/bias has been injected into content where it most certainly doesn't belong.
