Can anyone give me a good stream to take the girlfriend to so she/we can work on her flycasting technique. Don't need to see any steelies, just need a good place for her to work on her casting and hook setting. I think a day or two of C & R with little trout would be just the thing to warm her up for her first fly fight with a summer fish later on. Thanks alot in advance.

How far do you want to travel? I can recom-
mend quite a few great bodies of water if
you want to travel. I don't stay around here
very often.

Try the Skykomish just above Monroe. There is a classic fly bar that would work. Be very careful in western washington with small trout. Odds are they are steelhead smolts that will one day return (not as 6" creatures) but as brawny 20 lb native steelhead (ok, maybe 8 lb hatchery brats)...but you get the drift.

The lower Green in Auburn is a good spot, as is the Flaming Geyser Park near Auburn. In fact, this is one of my favorite spots. Too bad it is closed now, but if you wait until summer, it can be a lot of fun.

Ric-
Fire away with all of the places you can think of. We actually prefer to head out on thurs. or fri. and camp the weekend. We maintain licenses and steelie cards in both Washington and Idaho. Already have a trip planned to the grande rhonde so you can leave that one out. Thanks again.
