Lake Washington is pie! Find a bridge, troll with pop-gear & a worm or needlefish @ various depths. Some of the cutts are up to 6lbs. Bring beer!

Lake Sammy is were I do most of my cutt fishing....We used to have the whole lake to ourselves until F&H news told the whole state of washington exactly where to troll for em! We caught cutts the size of small steelhead(3-7lbs) in there. The ol' nightcrawler always seems to be the top producer. Try changing trolling speeds to an extreme. Fast, slow, fast, slow......FISH-ON!

You don't even need a boat to fish Lake WA in the winter. Huge rainbows. In the winter all the millfoil has died back. The stormier days the better. It seems to stir up the bottom and really draw the fish close to shore.

Yup, good beer & friend are always a must when fishin'! We always hit it after the Sky closes, perfect time, water is warming and so is the fishing. Its as close to steelhead sized pray you can get in May without driving 200+ miles. I'm either in my drift boat(LOL) or my buddies 16ft lake sammy special half drift boat half Lake Sammy Slayer! We ALMOST always release em' unless fish sounds good for dinner. Its amazing there is a trophy cutt fishery 15minutes from downtown. How do you fish the rapalas? I quess you just flatline them. Maybe I'll see ya' on the water soon!
