Yep, Calabro is good because he was trained by Bob Blackburn. I changed jobs in November '79 which required a move from Soap Lake area to B'ham. As our home in SL hadn't sold, I traveled back and forth every week to 10 days. Bob and the Sonic games kept me awake rolling over I-90 that winter.

Soccer is boring? Soccer has low scoring, but I don't see how it's more boring than baseball, if players actually in motion and doing some work counts. If it weren't for pitching and hits, baseball would rank with golf to me.

If soccer had more scoring, I'd probably watch it some. At least the players are busy, like in basketball, with near constant action for most of the game. Football, for all its popularity, is dominated by in-action. Way less than 10 seconds of action for the average down, and less than 5 seconds for most. It takes 3 1/2 hours to play 60 minutes, with a lot of that 60 minutes spent returning to the line of scrimmage, lining up, and waiting for the next play. Now golf, I will admit, is like watching paint dry. I'm guessing soccer isn't the world's most popular sport due to being boring.

soccer is popular because it only requires legs to play. a player doesn't need to be exceptionaly tall or big to play. it's a sport that the worlds average person can play. so across the globe soccer trully is the greastest game ever.

personally it does nothing for me. baseball also does nothing.

Soccer is also cheap since you can make a ball out of duct tape and rags. Heck, don't need shoes or even need to hear. I watched a group of deaf kids play at the school I visited in Cameroon and they had a great time.
