I am going fishing this weekend and plan on trying floats for my first time. There are currently summers and spring chinnok in the river and the water is deeper that I normally like to fish. It has a nice green color though and visibility is around two feet. I would love any suggestions from anyone with float fishing information in these conditions. Thanks!

If you're looking for the springers, you can't overlook trying the shrimp cocktail (eggs and shrimp) ... if that doesn't entice 'em try the straight eggs ... personally though, for springers, especially in some dirtier water, I'd driftfish and slow the presentation down some ... unless, of course, you're seeing some fish in good bobber water.

I usually get them in the fast deep water drift fishing double corkies, maybe a piece of prawn, and a really long leader sometimes six feet.

I'd use eggs. They seem to be the best for me, and last a bit longer than shrimp during the hatchery smolt releases that are usually happening around now, at least in my neck of the woods.
Did I mention to use eggs?

Actually a piece of raw prawn lasts longer than eggs or shrimp. The little guys can't get it off as easy and you can wing it as hard as you want.
