I am planning on floating from Blue Creek to Mission Bar this Sat. I have never floated this part and don't know what to expect. I have med. experience on the oars. Are thar any fish being caught and what is working (bait, spinners, plugs, ect) how long does it take to drift that part? I have floated the upper part from Barrier. any info would be apreciated. THANX

Both floats are about the same difficulty, very easy. Also they are similar in length, with blue-to-mission being maybe a little quicker. The lure/bait of choice down there seems to be 6 lb. test, #4 hooks (double), dime sized egg cluster, and very small lead weight.

- Good luck.

Just a little update from the Cowlitz. I made the float today. should have went Bear hunting instead. we saw 1 hooked and long released after about 30 seconds at Blue creek. the rest of the float was just catch and release on the smolt. I really liked the looks of the water and will be going back when the fishing is better. until then I think I will just play with the kings in the Nisqaully.
