After three attempts, I finally hit the target. At 4:07 p.m, Luke Michael was born. At 9 pounds 5 ounces, he is a good little native for his first run in the river. Not only do I have three girls to take Steelie fishing, but now a boy. Watch out boys, cause the gang will be heading out west to spank those winter piggies, as soon as I have a couple of qualified participants. If you think the nets are hard on the fish, wait till that "piggy Whacker" Luke hits the river. Don't worry. the only thing he'll take home is pictures and great memories. By the way, I tied Dean River lanterns, and steelie jigs for 7 hours in the hospital room while we were waiting for him to be born. They will go in a fly box for home to open up when he is old enough to use them. Tight Lines.

Adipose will be getting clipped tomorrow. I am now an advocate of releasing all fish, even the ones with fin clips. He's a true male, the first thing he did out of the chute was to squirt on everything. Nothing like marking your territory from the get go.

Going to make a speed trip to Cabelas this afternoon to get him a camo outfit and a fly box. Going to put his birthday on the back of the fly box, and put them in a safe place until he makes his pilgrimage to the Zipperlip. Behold the only Chuck N Ducker greater than myself. You and I and Mountin man will have to stand on the Zipperlip bridge at the put in and have a shot of Yukon with him on his first run down the river. Nice to know that when I get fatter and Lazier (if possible) that I have someone to row the boat.
