I was just wondering about the fish I have been catching in the sound? They have blue backs, semi-black gums and have spots on both halves of the tail fins. They are also fin clipped.??? If you have ever seen silvers and blackmouths in the salt, the difference is black and blue. Thanx. Tight lines!

They are COHO. When they are small and young they are referred to as bluebacks, so I suspect they are small(1-2Lbs). We used to fish(1988-92) for them in Georgia Straits before all the coho just up and disappeared in a matter of 2-3 years. Now, it is closed for all.
