My Dad and I were talking earlier about the 1 million people that were told to stay in their house's until the bomber was caught. That has got to be the f'n stupidest thing I 've ever heard, I can see in the general area were he escaped. Another thing I'm hearing is how great the Bst/fbi/and every LE agency in the world did in the man hunt..  For f'n gawd sakes this dumb teenager got away from an Army of officers in broad day light. For the life of me, how can that possibly happen? Kinda of like Dohner staying accross the street from the command center at Big Bear...atleast they didn't lose him in plain site.Oh yeah..the Boston police hats are sure dorky looking..... P.S The only reason they caught the perp was because a Lady called in and told them her shed door was open and it had blood on it.  Is this just me??

I believe you have just been thoroughly intoduced to a Bostonian point of view. Bellingham has much in common with the uber liberal Boston area, hence it is consistent.
How well the whole thing is accepted elsewhere is, I'm sure, regionally specific.
Personally.....cops tell a million people to do anything.....to me is a police state takeover, and doesn't fly with me. I didn't get as old as I am because of the caring cops provide......perhaps some have.

Your drivel brings to front an interesting posing.... When one is uber liberal.......do they recognize it? I'm suspecting not and probably envision some "extremist". Another tiny tidbit for "groupie" sorts...... anyone who needs to hang with "like-thinkers" quits thinking.....another example of the same phenomenon was recently published and entitled, "Meetings make you dumb"........for the same reason..... I wonder how the guy who owned the boat could lift the tarp and look inside to see the punk, but the cops have to send in a helicopter with high tech spying stuff to verify it, then spend 2 or 3 hours shooting at him and talking to him.
The cop at the P.C. dodged the obvious question; "Did the punk ever shoot at them from the boat?"
If the objective was to kill him,[and why shoot at him if it wasn't] why couldn't a cop walk up like the owner did, lift the tarp and pop him?

I think it was pretty goddamn cool that a whole city sacrificed to help to capture the perp.
And I don't care if they had to put the squeeze on him with two M1A1 Abrams main battle tanks.
It was mission accomplished in the end....they got him alive.
Interrogators are downloading the sh!tstain as I type this.
He might think that his brother is still alive and going to testify against him...etc, etc...
The interrogation harvest might save lives.

With all their personnel and military type equipment, they still couldn't best a 19 YO punk in a shoot out.
And they couldn't chase him down in their cars.
And they couldn't track him down after he was afoot.

At some point will we get to see how much they wanted him alive? Like a picture of the boat with just a couple of bullet holes to encourage the wounded perp to give up?
Or will it be destroyed by "take him alive" gunfire?
Just wondering at this point.
because there does seem to be just a bit of mis information surrounding this whole ordeal.
How about a Hero parade? Town keys and plaques for everyone?

Ahhhh, another day begins. Morn' boys, girls, undecideds.
Seen any boat pics yet? Me neither. Maybe today.
I'm glad that the Bostontonians are resting easy now with that teenager in cuffs. I know I feel safer as well.
Any word out on when the next terrorist party begins? You didn't think this was a one-time thing, right? With all the hoopla media coverage, methinks someone or two or three is chomping at the bit to be glorified by a whole nation.
I know it will tough on a lot of you, but I wouldn't recommend hanging out in crowds......er......scratch that......some please do hang in the highly desireable target areas.....others, be smarter than that.

I shouldn't have, but I just looked at the uncensored photos, seconds after the blasts.
Not much more to say after seeing that carnage, except that I can understand why a city rose up united to find these bombers at all costs.
