I am going to be around those rivers durring Christmas and I was woundering which would be a better choice. Any other suggestions for rivers around that area would be appreciated. Thankyou.

From my experience the Salmon will bw better....I may be down at Cook creek...three years ago, I released 20 in about 6 hours...good for the ego

Yes ; you do need a guide, though the cost was $75.00...quite reasonable. the crowds very bearable...
Nothing huge size wise, however it was a blast...it would be great noodle rod water.
