Will be on "Married List" 12 years this August. I can't afford to get divorced! Dr. Mrs. Parker would OWN my sorry ass if that ever happened!  Huh. Who knew? Well, she only owns and/or took exacly half my ass and the remaining half has little or no teeth marks on it. Kids spend two weeks on/off with each parent, no alimony and no child support. Not only could I afford the divorce, I came out close to 6-figures richer. The Chosen One......

Way to "turn that frown upside down" Parker! Glad to hear ya didn't get hammered, as so many guys do get bent over.
I too came out of mine financially unscathed. 50-50 down the middle for assets, kid, and debt (not much of it). I kept everything that was mine including house and acreage, truck, boat etc. Only thing I sold was the new camper and we split the cash on that. She got her stuff and the rental properties. Glad I had no maintenance or child support!!!

More like $1,441.0/month and still on the slight side perhaps ? I did not, and don't call me Shirley. Actually, I just realized that I'm paying ZERO child support. Apparently we agreed that $41/month wasn't worth our times and efforts. The wife and I damn near had identical incomes. Swap around who nows pays for their health care and add in the fatherly deductions do to days spent with the kids and voila. No child support. The Chosen One.....

Married 7 years in June. Wife only complains when I get skunked too many times in a row... otherwise she loves the fish I bring home and its pretty much the only hobby I enjoy.

Not that much younger.. first marriage dissolved after 7 years..

34% in my demographic already. 5% in the next 5 years. We have 8 kids, so I always threaten my wife that if she divorces me, she can have the money. I'll eat cat food. But I promise I'll leave her the house and kids.  17 years and counting...so far it has worked like a charm.
