where are the fish? Fished 4 out of five days last week before x-mas and didnt touch a thing or see anything caught. Talked to a bunch of people and same story --- NO FISH! maybe this week will be better. cant wait for the Nates to show. Im sick of these stupid hatchery fish that fly up to reiter and provide very little sport. Any fish being caught on the Sky, Sultan, or even Wallace over the weekend?? Wont be the end of the world if reiter goes i guess, unless you fish reiter (hard hats required) hehe . good luck and tight lines.

I recently drifted down the Skykomish (Sultan to Monroe) a couple of times in the past few days. Nothing! No fish, but a lot of fun!

Ditto, same story - I've seen very, very few fish must be around the Sky and Sno. Can see a few at the Reiter and when split mong the crowd there it's not encouraging odds.

Only thing I can come up with is the state hatchery run must have failed this year. OR maybe it's going to be really really late??? That would be nice but I don't think they're coming.

Would be interesting to see some stats on how many fish have come back to Reiter vs their spawning needs.

Maybe the fish just zoom up to the ponds and aren't being caught.

I hope they don't shut Reiter down though, that wouldn't help things any. I think the state should visit the Quinault tribe and learn how to raise fish.

They are late. The Cowlitz is only now getting fish and the Sky is usually a few weeks behind.

I too am starting to wonder about the Sky run. I fished 3 of the last 5 days in the lower river and never saw hide nor hair (or scale nor slime) of a fish. On my way out today I spoke to a gentleman I share a run with many mornings and he said that he had fished the last five days without seeing a fish. I second the post that yearned for the arrival of the natives.
