This should be good! Don't be shy,
Inspired by the original "Your biggest Washington Steelhead" thread, what's your biggest, or a few biggies caught outside of Washington?

(secretly hoping to see a few Kispiox and other Skeena trib. fish;) )

I'll start things off with a hatchery fish I bonked on a special day of winter fishing, it would end up being the largest Steel. I kept that season:

Two years ago on the Kispiox...

"Skeena System Calculator" put that one at a bit over 28#...and it was not the biggest one I hooked that week wink

Fish on...

A few fish at or just above 20 from up north, with this one being my favorite fish due to the circumstances of how I caught it.
Todd and I were having a chat about this fish and it's proportions the other day..... What a freak.

and this one, a fish which again under the circumstances, solidified my confidence in the use of black spoons:

Great fish pixs! My largest was a 26# (according to tape) dark buck on the Babine years ago.

Hardly worthy, but my biggest steelie ever came after moving to NorCal.

North CA coast which is only threatened by cannabis growers:

Best,

While I've searched for years looking for a biggun', I once fished with a guy that landed a monster on a famed "biggun" river. Check this bad boy out......

wink

That is one my favorites. That fish looks like he can't believe he lost the fight. Look at his eyes, looks mean! eek2

Alright, so I landed these three in three consecutive days in order.

First day, Opie cradling (or trying to) a 44.5". I was still at the top of the hole when he finally got it. I practically crawled down after I crossed the river and was outa breath.

Another shot of the same fish... (both grainy photos, camera wasn't on auto apparently)

Second day, different river. This one 43.25" with stupid huge girth...

Third day, back to first river and another 44.5" monster. I know for certain I will never be blessed with another stretch like that. Must of done something nice for someone before I left. Not sure who or what but I'd love to know. thumbs
