After years of complaining about having to play too many true sophmores and freshmen, Sark finally has a team with a starting unit consisting primarily of upper classman.
Keith Price was banged up for much of the year after the LSU game. There also wasn't a ready backup. This year with 3 other guys competing for playing time I don't see Sark hesitating to yank Keith if he doesn't get the job done. You can run the zone read all you want but if your qb never keeps it the defense doesn't have to honor it.
We will see soon enough and 1 thing is for sure. This is his team that he recruited. Granted, Keith commited to He Who Shall Not Be Named but signed his LOI under Sark.
The helmets are not my taste either. Neither are the black uni's. Same with the all white. I remember watching them get clownstomped at home in 88 against Colorado wearing all purple. They played as bad as they looked.

A BrotherChin sighting!
I like the old uniforms...too many good memories as a kid sitting in the end zone every Saturday afternoon that the Dawgs were in town and watching them trounce most everyone who had the bad luck to have to play us in Husky Stadium.
I think a healthy Keith Price will be a really good quarterback...if he stays healthy.
Fish on...

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

I'm not sure Price was ever the problem. Our problem since Jim Lambright left has always been at the line of scrimmage. Our offensive lines have been a disgrace, and the defensive lines have been worse.
You could put BJ Hobert, Napoleon Kaufman, and Joe Steele behind those lines, and they'd get killed. The reason those guys shined is because of the lines they played behind. Skill players behind crappy lines just become injured skill players.
GET SOME F'ING LINEMEN, WASHINGTON!

Can't argue with any of that, Dan...Keith got hurt because he was running for his life against LSU, and it didn't get any better after that.

Ahh, the recruitment of lineman. Once something that was taken for granted, this has become increasingly tough over the years. I think it's safe to say that if we had kept our own in state lineman things would be looking better. It's hard losing these kids but I can't really fault kids like Josh Garnet and David DeCastro deciding to go to Stanford.
It was apparent during Neu's first recruiting cycle that the emphasis on trench players lost it's priority. We may never get back to controlling the line of scrimmage on both sides. Once you lose it, it's very hard to get it back.
Even right now we have 2 4 star WR commits and 0 OL commits. And for those interested, Bellevue's Budda Baker is tearing it up on both sides of the ball this week at the Nike Opening camp. He will be one of the top prospects nationally.

Line play is the heart and soul of the game. The skill guys get the fame and the pretty girls, but the linemen make it all possible.
When Nick Farley came crashing down on Darron Thomas in what seemed like milliseconds, I thought, holy sh!t...they're on another level. With no hogs to stop their hogs, yer fukked.
