Heineken totally tastes like weed(side note). I've had redhook before and it was ok. The beer not *nates* b-hole. I'll leave your thread alone now Kaiser.
For all I'm concerned 90+% of micro/specialty brews are a novelty and are sold, consumed based on their packaging and cool appeal.

It's hip now to drink Pabst. Good cheap beer but I just get lost on why it makes you rad.

A light domestic beer does have a lot more quenching apeal than arrogant bastard ipa. I can't get past one or two dark beers. I like and respect the flavor, but I wanted go to a bonfire and drink a half rack of one of those super pungent s.o.b's.

All styles of beer have their places. So where do Meister Brau and Falstaff belong? Or as we called them, Meister Chow and Fallflat.

You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. We would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory–maybe something with a multi-million dollar ad campaign aimed at convincing you it’s made in a little brewery, or one that implies that their tasteless fizzy yellow beverage will give you more sex appeal. Perhaps you think multi-million dollar ad campaigns make things taste better. Perhaps you’re mouthing your words as you read this.

I couldn't drink back then.
I said styles of beers. I myself do not like every brewers version of a style of beer and bet just about everyone agrees with me. I have my favorite ambers, browns, porters, hefs, domestics etc just as I have ones I would rather give away.

I do enjoy a dark beer now and again. I'm aware it has it's place. If wanting my beer to be light and refreshing makes me white trash, dumb and tasteless than I am ok with that.
God bless 'Merica.

Someone mentioned Corona above. I never did like that skunky stuff. Maybe if it were in a brown bottle or a can it wouldn't taste like UV rays skunked it out. Same goes with Heineken and some other green bottle beers. Save the skunk for a real Joint Effort.
Used to go to this burger joint that served only Pabst on tap. Actually it didn't taste bad on tap. Worst beer ever? Schlitz or Buckhorn...yuck. I think it's made with skunk cabbage and maybe some Lady Slipper for gheyness. Same with some of the Canook beers. It's true, American industrial beer sucks. We've had such shiddy beer for so long, thinking that it is actually good is a hereditary ailment. It's nice to see that American brewers are kicking brewer ass all over the planet these days. With or without the industrial beer drinker's blessings, we are in a Golden Age. DD Certified Professional Beer Drinker

Heineken is too skunky for me. I like Corona with lime, not so skunky. Without lime there are other beers I like more. I like a lot of the pale ales and a lot of lagers. Sam Adams is good. As long as it tastes good to me I don't give a [Bleeeeep!] what anyone thinks.

We regret to inform you that the Professional Beer Drinkers Board hereby issues a lifetime ban, for the admittance on a public forum, to the placing of citrus produce into beer.
Sorry dude, maybe others can learn from this.

Oh, I may even put mayonnaise on the steelhead.

Beer snobs like to match their food to their brew.... Put some lemon slices in there, too. Edit: What happened to the Joint Effort thing ?

Mayonnaise thing was a jokem I know a million people that love it and brown sugar, but I can't go for it. I keep it simple usually. Lemon, salt and pepper. And maybe dill. My mom makes a good tarragon sauce that I think she may do tonite.

I went with Hornitos Tequila too. The McNaughtons thing was a joke though my cheap ass will drink it. Hornitos is s good tequila. Not the best obviously. If the booze snobs think it's bad too than they are missing out and most likely losing out and/or have more money than they no what to do with.

Spot on Steelspanker.
I'm a Packaging Engineer for a living and it is all about UV with beer. Clear bottles allow the most UV to penetrate, then green, then brown, then can.
Theoretically, the best tasking beer should come from a can (it doesn't). Its also why some small micros (Dales etc.) is starting to come in a can. Can lines are very spendy and its much cheaper and easier for the small micros to bottle.
I won't drink ANY clear or green bottle beer. It all tastes like skunky crap...lime or no lime.
Lastly - did you know that mass-market, commercial beers (bud, miller etc..) were created specifically for the ladies market during WWII? Before WWII, American beers used to be much darker and stronger. But once the war broke out and our GI's went overseas, the brewers found that beer wasn't selling any longer. They found out that women didn't like the darker heavier beers, so they switch to lighter Ales and Lagers. Once the war ended and our men came home, they too liked the new lighter beer and it stuck. Now you know the rest of the story...
FYI - I'm the furthest thing from a Hippster D-Bag and I'm drinking a tall boy PBR right now. PBR is good stuff for the price.

I went with Hornitos Tequila too. Hornitos is good...it can be sipped. A waste to mix it. I've yet to find anything in its price range that can match it.

Eat, drink and do what you enjoy. As long as it isn't harming someone else fukem. Piper can take an IPA bottle to the brown eye. I'll spit PBR on it for slick sauce..

YBD, sounds like you need to let up on the PBR... Next time you are in the store and see an Arrogant Bastard on the shelf... pick it up and read the label... that is if you can read it without mouthing the words my post came right off the bottle
