How did that work in Iraq/Afgan ?

I would like to see efforts focused on training the allies military from get go. Not at the end of the war. Teach them how to fight and give some funding aid if needed. Saves Americans and makes us look better in the worlds eye whem we aren't the ones cracking skulls. But you gotta do what you gotta do. I think foreign relations and cause for war is far more complicated than they would ever let the public know.

The entire middle east is about oil, whether there's oil under Syria or not...or under Israel or not.

We can wait for the UN envoy test results and if chemical weapons were used, the burden of proof of who conspired to use them is on the US Administration after the allegations they've made.

The real "Moral Obscenity" is the US Administration trying to get the U.S. involved in another war in order to line the pockets of arms manufacturers and politicians.

There has to be a need for weapons and military machinery in order to produce them and make a boatload of money off the American Taxpayers. How do you use up the inventory? Get into a war.
A war will use up the supplies for our own troops, creating a need for more.
Worse, the politicians also give away billions and billions of American Taxpayer dollars as "aid" to all these medieval countries. Those countries then buy weapons from American manufacturers as well. The manufacturers then donate to the campaigns of those politicians who support the war.
It is the worlds largest money laundering scheme wherein the money is essentially stolen from the American Taxpayers, channeled to these cat litter sand box countries, who then spend it on weapons.
