While I stay bundled up in my woolies in front of the woodstove, reading my latest F&H News & trying to kick this flu thang, I keep wondering how the Satsop is shaping up for Steelhead. Been wondering all week in fact, just never got around to asking. Anyone been fishin' it this week??? What did you find???

My women's intuition has been buzzing everytime I think of that river this week...thought I'd better see if my intuition needs a tune up or if it's doin' just fine!!!

Farmgirl is that you in the fall fishing for kings on that private bar below the state park? You asking about the Satsop is making me wonder. Sorry, no report for this river. But, my Hawaiian intuition is telling me "Peninsula" for the weekend.

sorry the Satsop is not sounding good. I fished it from the park to the W.Fork and didn't touch a fish on the 6th. maybe next weekend I will give it another try I can't try it this weekend so I won't be able to give any report untill then. let me know how it is if anybody gets on it.

Pretty slow....Fished from dawn until dusk on Wed. My buddy caught and released one little teaser of a native hen at the forks. Pretty day.....Pretty river.....Pretty slow? I agree with Howaiian, it's the coast this weekend for me....Good luck

Its hot i hit the satsop at 3:00 today had 4 on and landed 2 natives water is high but clear.FISH ON oh its friday

Fished it hard again on Saturday. Hit and miss at best. The river was in great shape. We fished from the park to the cemetary hole. We ended 1 for 2. Both natives. Heard of just a few more caught. Mabey a couple of weeks early yet. Will update next trip...DB

Thanks guys...I guess my intuition needs some dusting off...maybe not a full blown tune up!!!

The Peninsula is too far for me...I guess I'll wait for the Green or??? I'm such a novice that it probably doesn't matter WHERE I go...it'd be hit and miss anywhere!!! But I'm gonna stick it out until I get one of those big shiny trout on!!!

Hey Paranoid1, this Saturday works best for me. The crowds on the Nooch will probably keep me on the Satsop. If Patrick can't go maybe we should invite Montana Matt. Let me know......
