It will be interesting either way- if the members call the company's bluff, the result could still go either way. Mcnerney suggested that Boeing "would explore all other options" before there would be a decision in an interview on the news tonight. I think his interview, while candid, was very carefully worded but, if I were playing poker, I think he dropped a tell and I'd call his bluff.

I bet they would re-negotiate and there is more meat on that bone.

Chuck,

Inslee made a statement that said he'll be gunning hard for it still. My take on it is that the Dubai air show is this week. Emirates is talking about purchasing 150 or so 777X planes. They're going to want them built in Everett so they're built right the first time and delivered on time. that's what we do in Everett. Boeing knows it, Inslee already stated that tonight and all of us skilled machinists know it.

Approx how many years worth of work is 150 planes? Seeing how Boeing just broke ground on a propulsion facility in SC yesterday, could it be you may get the work for that order but Boeing uses the profit from that sale to build up production in another location?

The propulsion facility is for building 737 max engine parts. funny thing about that is that the 737max was what we voted to keep in Washington back in 2011 when we ratified our contract that is set to expire in 2016. had we voted yes today that would have secured the 777x but would have also left uncertainty for future work placement of programs like the 737max. I'm not sure how many years of work 150 777x planes is but it's big for sure.

I drive by the Machinist's Union Hall on my way to Mukilteo at least once a week. The life size artwork out front of the hall will tell you what they are most proud of. You would think it might be a Boeing aircraft and you would be wrong. The artwork is of a striking family around a burn barrel. If I was CEO I would certainly get the message loud and clear.

I really like that the machinists have preserved their pensions.

Unfortunately without a job, you don't get a pension.

The damage to the People of Washington will be immense. What a bunch of dumptrucks.

Looks like you will be able to pick up cheap recreational equipment and others things machinist like in 2016 when the current deal expires. Right to work states will bend over for Boeing and Boeing workers willing to relocate.

IMHO, States which provide major manufacturers with massive tax breaks and incentives should be somehow legally obligated to keep a certain percentage of their business in that state. Washington has extended their right hand for a handshake saying"we have a great deal for you" and Boeing is saving their handshake for someone else. Fuckem I say.

Further, shame on our dumb politicians who did not subject Boeing to any contractual labor obligations for said tax breaks.

Hitching any part of your wagon to a dullard like Inslee is a colossal fukup. Boeing and the unions will use him to fuk each other like the dildo he is.

In 5-6 years there will be 20,000+ folks that aren't qualified to be a greeter at Walmart...even if they shave and shower.

Colossal stupidity by entitlement minded idiots.
