Anyone know where to get lead molds? I'm thinking of trying to make my own jigheads. I've found a lead melter from Bass Pro Shops but haven't come across any molds.
tks, Bruce

Sportco and Narrows Marina both carry a few.

Bruce, I just got a good jig head mold. I got it from Jann's Netcraft. They have all kinds of molds. They are back in Ohio. The number is (419) 868-8288. I got a 7 cavity mold for 1/8 oz jig heads. They have everything you're looking for. Randy

Just wanted to thank everyone for the help on molds. My wife is very happy to have me working with molten lead on the dining room table.
Thanks! Bruce
elmtree - I just dropped you a line.

B. Gray, My suggestion is that you reconsider your endeavor. For all the money you would pay for the melting pot, molds, lead and flux, you could buy enough leadhead jigs to last you many years. Neither you or your family would be exposed to lead fumes (extremely dangerous) and you don't run the risk of your pot exploding when the lead is accidentally exposed to moisture. Just my 2 bits.
Signed, been there, done that and scars to show for it.

Excellent point Roundball. In fact, my supplier just mailed me a couple dozen new jighead hooks that look like they should do the trick and not bend.
